Ally earned her BA from Kenyon College where she won an Academy of American Poets College Prize. In 2019, she earned her MFA in Poetry from Syracuse University where she was Editor in Chief of Salt Hill.  She has taught college level writing at Syracuse University and Hudson County Community College in Union and Jersey City, New Jersey.  She now lives and writes in Brooklyn where she teaches 9th grade English at EBC High School for Public Service Bushwick.
